Ecofest is an annual Earth Day celebration, hosted by UMBC’s Students for Environmental Awareness (SEA). Our mission is to create real environmental improvements at UMBC and beyond — and show how everyone can make a difference with a little environmental awareness.
What better way to raise awareness than a festival bringing the whole school together around peace and community? SEA works tirelessly to secure space, funding, and partner organizations to make each year the best EcoFest yet.
Earth Day is April 22nd every year. EcoFest has been held on the Friday afternoon of that week, on Earth Day itself, or with separate events on multiple days.
EcoFest is a place for everyone to showcase what they do to support the environment. The festival attracts diverse On Campus and Off Campus organizations to celebrate together. EcoFest is made possible by musicians who donate their time, clubs who donate materials for Earth Day crafts, local businesses who donate food, and the Student Government Association.
